The three members of the crew of the Apollo 11 were born the same year: Neil Armstrong (August/5/1930 at 0:31am in Wapakoneta, OH), Buzz Adrin (Jan/20/1930 at 14:17hrs in Glen Ridge, New Jersey), and Michael Collins (Oct/31/ 1930, unknown time, in Rome, Italy). Uranus had just started entering in Aries in 1927, hence the three astronauts belong to the same generation of stunning scientific discoveries; nowadays we have Uranus in Aries again, the three astronauts’ charts are having their Uranus return; therefore, their lives and actions are encompassed with the planet of innovation and gigantic technological leaps, the very stamp of the 20th century. Neil Armstrong, the man who said: ‘that’s one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind’ when he first walked on the Moon, died during his Uranus’s return; his life and exploits epitomize some of the best possibilities of man on Earth. The transit of Uranus in Aries is extremely powerful, there are no limits when the energy of Mars combines with Uranus. Where will the children born nowadays with this position go in the future?

Armstrong was a man of fire, Sun in Leo (trine to Uranus in Aries) and Moon is Sagittarius, he was a warrior, among other accomplishments, he had won three medals in the Korea war. A real modern hero, he had all the qualities of the heroes of the traditional myths. His Mars (stamp of the warrior) in Gemini makes a comely triangle with his Uranus and with his Sun (60 degrees with each); the airy quality of his Mars (also Gemini Ascendant) was displayed when Armstrong had to react extremely quickly to the landing the Lunar Module under unexpected circumstances (the landing was on the Sea of Tranquility). Mars in Gemini accounts for the adventures in airplanes, spaceships and sophisticated machines; the Uranus contact explains the unusual training of an astronaut and the experimental devices.
Of the charts of the other two crewmen, let us only mention that Buzz, the second man to walk on the Moon is an Aquarius ruled by Uranus; his Moon is in Libra stressing the Venus quality of the expedition; the Ascendant is also in Gemini (same as Arsmtrong). Lots of the air, but in spite of the clarity of this element, it seems that once back on Earth, Buzz went through a serious depression and became and alcoholic; after some years he recovered and went back to a stable and creative life. A glimpse to his chart tells us that he is a very plutonian man, Mercury, Sun, Venus and Mars in the VIII House of Pluto; he has a square of Moon, Mars and Pluto. This means that Buzz had a deeper perception of the dark side of the Moon; from the archetypal perspective, he was in charge to express the fear of all the dangers they were all exposed; Buzz must have been in contact with the horror of having to walk on another planet inside those eerie spacesuits, farther that any human had ever been. Albeit the long training, imagine the anxiety of the whole adventure. Moreover, how can you just go back to normal after the tons of adrenaline and the vertigo of a space Odyssey? Some people can become seriously depressed after some over exciting Uranus transits.
The third astronaut, Michael Collins is a Scorpio, a plutonian too, he remained in the orbit of the Moon waiting for the other crewmen; he commented that he had been incredibly worried about Neil Armstrong. As a watering sign he was more in contact with his emotions.(the end)
